첫 음악극 연출작이자 솔로 발표 작품이다.
서도민요의 대표적인 소리 "배뱅이 굿"을 지금의 배경으로 옮겨와
현대적으로 재구성한 작품이다.
우리네 각박한 인생을 닮은 기구한 운명의 배뱅이.
배뱅이의 죽음을 위로하는 가짜무당의 사기 굿판이 시끌벅적 이루어진다.
삶의 한 순간에 웃음과 위로가 충만하기를 바라는 마음으로.
가짜면 어때, 누군가의 눈물에 온 마음을 다하면 진짜가 될지도 모른다.
처음 만난 우린 모두 배뱅이! 가짜 굿판에 신명나게 한판 놀아보자.

Late Night Bangcho: The Sham Shaman Ritual
This work marks Chorong Bang’s debut as a solo artist
and her first directorial piece in music theater.
Inspired by “Baebengi Gut”, a representative folk song
from the Northwestern regions of Korea,
she reimagines this traditional ritual in a modern context.
Baebengi, a tragic character
mirroring the harshness of our own lives, meets an untimely death.
To console her spirit, a fake shaman stages a boisterous and chaotic ritual —
a farcical ceremony full of noise, laughter, and unexpected comfort.
Even if it’s fake, what if we give our whole hearts to someone’s tears?
Could sincerity turn a lie into something real?
We are all Baebengi when we first meet —
so let’s jump into this absurd ritual together and find joy in the chaos.
